We are delighted that you are considering sending your child to Dolphin School and we recommend that you take a visit to see the school in action for yourself, where our Head Tom Lewis would be delighted to show you around. Alternatively you can book for one of our termly open mornings.
Once you have visited our school and have decided that Dolphin School is the right choice for your child, we recommend that you complete a registration form and return along with the registration fee.
For Early Years children, a familiarisation session is booked in the term before their proposed term of entry, which will give them and you, plenty of opportunity to get to know the Early Years staff.
Children aged 5 and above are invited to spend a day at Dolphin with their peer group so that they can get to know us and we can get to know them. An offer of a place will be made if we feel, after consultation with the staff, that your child would flourish and be happy at Dolphin.
Children can join Dolphin Nursery at any time from the age of 3 and they are eligible for entry into the Reception class in the autumn term following their 4th birthday. We do also accept children, particularly at this young age, at other times in the school year. Spaces are sometimes available in other year groups and we can offer waiting list places.
What if my child is not yet three?
Dolphin is pleased to welcome children into our Nursery who are 'rising 3' for as many days in the week that you and the school agree are suitable for your child. In the following term, when children become eligible for government funding, they must attend for 3 days or more.
