Dolphin is delighted to announce the formation of a school committee, The Eco Warriors, consisting of children, parents and staff who will consider ways the Dolphin Community can appreciate and look after our school environment.

Plug Planting
The Eco Warriors and their helpers are eagerly looking forward to planting some primroses and cowslips at the top end of the school field on Tuesday 16th march at 12.30.

The Energy Group (Camille, Max, Sam and Charlotte), a sub committee of the Eco Warriors, has been considering ways in which Dolphin can save energy in the school and so saving money.

Announcement - the chicks have fledged

Monday May 24th

The birdbox - the nest is now empty

This photo was taken on Friday when mum was feeding the last remaining chicks

 

Midday on Friday, 6 of the 9 chicks fledged the nest leaving 3 chicks on their own in the nextbox over night. The remaining 3 fledged on Saturday. The work for the parents is not over as they are still looking after the fledlings around the pond area.

Friday May 21st (11:00) - Day 19 - all the chicks are more restless than usual - 6 of the chicks fledge the nest.

Tuesday May 18th (07:00) - Day 16 - Wing stretching and preening - they are looking more capable of flying now.
