Emily Gravett Visit

The award winning author/illustrator, Emily Gravett, spent the day with the youngest and the oldest students telling them about her journey to become an author.

She spent several years travelling around the country, living in a bus! Then she had a baby and the only way to keep the baby quiet was by reading to her. Naturally she then became a writer of children’s books!

The youngest children read ‘Monkey and Me’ and then wrote their own version – ‘Blobby and Me’!

The oldest children started writing their own picture books.

Afterwards Emily signed lots and lots of books at the Book Fair. Thank you to everyone who supported our collection for Book Aid International.

It was a great day!
