Waste_Free_Lunch_008_1.jpg
Dolphin has launched its search for the team of children who will contribute their ideas and help drive forward initiatives which will make Dolphin more environmentally friendly.

The children are being encouraged to consider issues such as the waste we create, how we can minimise it, how we should dispose of it; the energy and water we use and where economies could be made.

We are very grateful to Mrs Phillips and Mrs De Carvalho for delivering a wonderful assembly to the whole school which was both informative and inspiring. The children watched a short YouTube film, Shrek's tips on how to be green and also a film made by Year Seven during the course of recent weeks where they sought the opinions of the school community on how we could be more environmentally friendly.

We hope this intiative will make a real difference to life at Dolphin and also that it will stimulate discussion between children and their parents as new ideas evolve. An 'Environment Team' will be established after half term consisting of the most enthusiastic and interested children in Years Three to Eight.

If you think you could help with this project in any way please contact Mrs De Carvalho at solange_de_carvalho@hotmail.com.
