Never work with animals or children...
but that's exactly what head of drama, Judy Seall, has done with Dolphin School's latest production 'Hairs and Graces'. Taking as her inspiration the original Grimm fairy tales, she has adapted and written versions of 'Cinderella' and 'Rapunzel', especially for the Year Seven & Eight students.
There were approximately 40 human performers, and at last count two animal performers as well! The production included a bit of flying, dancing and original music.
Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the show was the fact that a student had been invited to write and direct a piece. Sarah adapted '12 Dancing Princesses', and subsequently cast it, directed it and organised all the costumes! A remarkable achievement for one so young. Sarah said,
"Nothing can compare to watching your dream slowly awaken on stage."
