Tuesday 28th April saw Dolphin's inaugural Creative Writing Day. The day began with some early morning scribbling about irritating morning expressions ("Wake Up Sleepyhead") and throughout the day each year group had a special writing activity. Years Seven and One re-wrote We're Going On A Bear Hunt, Years Six and Two exchanged letters from insects, Year Three wrote up their favourite words, Year Four and Reception wrote sentences on the playground, Year Five designed adverts for a totally new games console, and Year Eight described a day at Dolphin in manga or Beano comic style. The day was rounded off with a special assembly celebrating examples of this work. Some of this can be seen in the Creative Corner section of this site, and there are many examples currently being displayed in the Hall. Well done to all children who worked so well and who had such fun!
