Homework Should Be Banned, by Raneisha

Does homework bring you down? Is it one of the things you could really do without? Well, I'm going to tell you about homework and why we should have it banned.

Firstly the lack of free time given to children is a problem. Children must socialise. Children need fresh air and free time to chill out.  Sometimes children are given seven homeworks a week! You must be a fool not to think that's a little harsh.

Also, the homework puts children in a lot of stress.  Stress should not occur in children.  Stress may also cause baldness which may lead to bullying.  Stress also leads to tantrums and tears.  If the child is already extremely busy then homework will not make them feel better.

Against all this, some people may say that homework is an essential for education; this is nonsense! Children go to school to do their work.  They should not have to come home to more school.  Reading is a good type of homework but probably the only one.

However, homework can cause arguments between the parent and the child.  The parent could say something is wrong or he or she may criticise it.  This would not happen if all homework was included in the school curriculum.  If this happened then parents would be happier because they would spend more time with their children.

Finally, if children stay inside at their desks, they aren't getting exercise. Therefore they are more likely to be overweight.  So homework can cause obesity which can lead to death.  Homework kills, you must be mad not to want to stop your children doing homework.

So homework can cause death, obesity and bullying.  Also arguments and stress which leads to baldness. If we are not able to ban homework, then we should at least give children less homework.  A maximum of two homeworks a week.  Reading should not be counted as homework as certain people enjoy reading.  Cutting down on homework will also save trees! Isn't that one of our goals? To recycle paper?

So homework being banned is an incredibly good idea as it will lead to better and healthier lifestyles for our children.
