Hi Guys

Hope you have had a fab time.  It has been a great laugh, the wind on top of Con-Du and Pen y Fan was extreme.  Another big walk today and I can't wait to see you tomorrow.

from Tomas

Dear Mrs Gibbs's Group

Yesterday we climbed Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in south Wales with a height of 886m.  It was extremely windy, be careful with your things as they could blow away!  I hope you are having a great time and you enjoy cooking your own food.  We had fun orienteering last night and we had a bonfire.  I hope to see you on the waterfall walk.

Best wishes

Isabel

Dear Mrs Gibbs's Group

We have just walked up to the top of Pen y Fan.  It was windy, quite long and tiring but we had fun! Are you having fun? Have you climbed Pen y Fan? Today we will climb Barnau Sir Gaer.  Yesterday we nearly got blown off.  It was soo fun.  The youth hostel is the same as the one for the Black Mountains! See you at the waterfall walk!

See you soon

Hannah

Dear Mrs Gibbs's Group

Have a great time staggering up Pen y Fan like we did.  Watch out for the wind at the saddle of the mountain!  Looking forward to hearing your tales of great bravery and cowardliness.  I'm sure you'll get loads of laughs!

Fergus

To Mrs Alderson's Group

How has your trip been so far?  Ours has been great! The walks have been really fun! Especially when we went up Pen y Fan.  The wind was incredible! Even half way up the mountain when we stopped for lunch, we had to hold onto anything in case it blew away.  When we got to the top of the mountain the wind was so strong that we could lean forwards and not fall over because of the wind pushing us up.

See you soon

Ayesha

Dear Mrs Alderson and your Group

...we were getting very close to our mountain.  It looked like half of a bowl and we had to start by climbing up a very rocky steep ridge.  The ridge rose at a 40 degree angle and that's steep!  The path snaked up the mountain and we all were keeping at very good pace.  I was feeling amazed at the degree of the achievement we were all making.  When we got to the top of the mountain, Gerry, our mountain leader, suggested we play stick in the mud (well, to the people who still had the  strength to!). Then for a bit of fun it was so windy that we tried (and failed) to fly!...
