After seeing the production at Norden Farm we spent a week reading 'One Snowy Night', acting out the story and investigating the animals which feature in it.

We then focused on 'The Tiger Who Came To Tea'- a favourite of many parents and children! We turned the role play into the home and cafe in the book complete with huge tin of tiger food. The children loved putting on hats, coats and wellies to walk from home to the cafe!

'Ringo the Flamingo' was new to the children. We had lots of fun rhyming with Bingo our dog puppet becoming great frineds with Ringo! The fire in the story inspired us all, we danced enthusiastically around a camp fire, exercised while holding red streamers and created a wall display contrasting the colours of new growth and fire.

We finished the first half of the term with 'Owl Babies'with the children being captivated by the flight and gliding of owls on our large screen.
