On Friday 19th November nursery had an exciting time at ‘The River and Rowing Museum’, Henley.

We were welcomed with a song by our teacher for the day and were introduced to Sporting Ted and his friend Henley, our teacher told us it was Ted's birthday. He was three and we all sang Happy Birthday!. The children suggested what Sporting Ted needed before he could go rowing – a cap, rowing clothes, boots and an oar! Our teacher told the children that to go rowing you need to be very fit so we did some exercise to a song.

Then we looked around the museum and searched for items such as a boat, trophy and cap. In the museum there were lots of fun things to do including having a go on a rowing machine.

We had a snack and did a cutting and sticking activity and saw a woderful picture of Sir Steve Redgrave!

We finished by visiting the Wind in the Willows Exhibition. What a busy morning we had!
