Ofsted gave Dolphin’s early years provision an Outstanding Provider rating following an unannounced inspection of Nursery and Reception on Wednesday 11^th June 2008.  Ofsted found the quality and standards of education to be outstanding in all areas, an assessment given to only a very small minority of providers.

Amongst the glowing observations were:

“Children flourish in the exceptionally well organised setting”

“The curriculum both inside and outside is delivered extremely well and provides children with exciting learning opportunities”

“Children benefit from the well qualified and experienced staff who are very caring”

“The quality of teaching and learning is outstanding”

“Children access a broad range of wonderful resources”

“Children are keen to learn”

“Staff are perceptive to children’s interests”

“Children listen intently”

“Children are confident and articulate speakers”

“Children use their imagination and are creative in expressing themselves”

“Staff value and respect each child’s individuality”

“Children form excellent relationships”

“Partnership with parents and carers is outstanding”

“Leadership and management are outstanding”
