Douglas Chalmers, Class of '81, who was one of the original 25 pupils at Dolphin, was awarded an M.B.E. in November 2003 for his work in Iraq. Douglas is now a Lt Colonel in the army in command of the 2nd Battlion of the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment of 750 men.

Douglas has been at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, at the ripe old age of 41, reading International Relations prior to taking command of his regiment.
