Hugh Welchman has won a 2008 Oscar for the
Best Animated Short Film for his film
Peter and the Wolf which first appeared on Christmas Eve 2006 on Channel 4. Hugh, an Oxford graduate, founded Breakthru Films in 2002 with Alan Dewhurst. He has produced a feature length documentary and various short films including two for Monty Python. He has won the top Festival Prize and was twice on the official selection list for Cannes and has been short listed by BAFTA. Hugh's second film, The Flying Machine, previewed at the Royal Festival Hall in February, 2010.
