Love & Hate

I know not, but I feel it happening and I am tortured.

I love yet I hate; perhaps you ask why

The truth is I am tortured; I don't know why.

I thought that it happened; but is it the truth?

To dwell and to linger on one thought too long

Can kill all that's inside a man: love....hate,

Two insignificant figures in life's complex game.

Life's luxury, life's mad-house, all too common

But I, I am in between, a challenge -

The challenge to break the world of repulsion, between

Love and hate, I love yet I hate

But now you know why.

Emily

I hate and I love, yet I do not know why.

Perhaps you ask why.

I ask myself this, and I am tortured.

 Lucy

I love yet I hate; perhaps you ask why?

I do not know,

But the answer torments me.

Grips the heart and sends blood pulsing

Through my veins,

Deluding the senses and eluding the mind,

I've hunted through the darkest oceans,

The plains and rivers of thought.

Still I cannot find a definition nor the

Explanation,

But the closest thing to this torment,

Is the perpetual rhythm of life.

 Charlotte

Ice grips my heart,

Fire consumes it,

It is breaking.

Torn apart by two forces;

Love and hate,

One word forms on your lips;

Why?

I confess, I do not know,

Even though it torments me.

 Anna

I hate yet I love, perhaps you wonder why?

I don't know, but when it happens I am tormented.

Like black on white two opposites collide and form as one.

Yet the result of our afflictions is not beautiful as we had hoped it

would be.

It is an eternity of nothingness, a world of pain.

As we reach for one thing yet end up with both.

 Alicia

I hate and I love. Why do I do this, perhaps you ask?
