Sun rains forcefully on naked backs, but is soon defeated

by waters that entertain the young and the old

   young children watch in marvel

as their parents haul colourful fish from the cobalt

depths

           fish slip through the toes of the joyful

father and son glide in kayaks across calm waters

          children craft delicate sculptures from golden grain
