Dolphin was one of only 12 schools out of the 1,050 which took part in the Shakespeare Schools Festival, the UK’s largest youth drama festival, who were asked to perform.

The 2008 Temple Festival is a year-long festival to commemorate an important 400th anniversary. The Festival began with an Open Weekend on 19 & 20 January 2008, giving unprecedented access to the buildings of Inner and Middle Temple: the and private apartments with their extraordinary collection of legal and Royal portaits. The Temple is a unique and beautiful oasis of calm in the heart of central London - located between Fleet Street and the Embankment.

It was in 1608 that King James I granted the land and buildings in the Temple, including the Temple Church, by Royal Charter to the two Inns of Court - the Inner Temple and the Middle Temple.

During the weekend there were guided tours, children’s tours, Da Vinci Code lectures, exhibitions in both libraries, as well as the opportunity to inspect judicial robes at close quarters. There were mock trials and advocacy demonstrations held at the Royal Courts of Justice. Members of the public could be jurors, thus gaining a real insight into the inner workings of the English legal system, while enjoying a good, juicy case! Students from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) were also featured, popping up in unexpected places to delight and entertain!
