Mary ran outside screaming. Smash the giant man hit the ground with his foot.  Suddenly the bridge broke on the climbing frame.  The teacher said: "Let's call the big man the Iron Man". The Iron Man turned around stomping towards the kitchen and hit the door and took five saucepans!

Everyone in the class was bent headed, noses almost touching their paper.  Suddenly CRASH everyone dashed to the window.  Something was stretching itself up and up and up.  It must have been fifty feet!  It was coming towards the school.  Emily screamed, Ragie gasped, Mr Crockford sprinted to alert the other teachers.  Rage said to the dumbstruck class  "I think we should be alright since we are in the history room."  The class nodded its approval and waited for a teacher.  Amy opened the window for fresh air, it was a big mistake...

...Everyone scrambled to the sheds and hauled the ropes out.  It took eight people to tie a loop of string to his finger. "Wrap it round the holes on his waist!" So there he was, lying where the playground was meant to be.  They quickly nailed screws in the ground.  It took eleven people to tie a loop round his ankle.  Then all the teachers wrapped it round and round the nail.  The Iron Man lay there, unmoving.  Everyone was sent home...

...So that day the army came and ambushed the Iron Man and took him to their base.  Two weeks later they invented a Concorde and it always passed over Dolphin School and it was extremely noisy.  One day it crashed in Asia and the captain died and the Iron Man volunteered so they never heard a sound because the Concorde engine was always switched off because the Iron Man was carrying it in the sky.  But he never found his ear again.
