Time Online

Anthony, Conor, Jillian, Kyle, and Marie are all using the family’s Internet account. Their service provider allows them a total of 100 hours a month without extra charges. After three weeks, they have 22 hours remaining for the month without extra charges.

· Conor used an average of 4 hours and 45 minutes a week.

· Researching a project, Anthony used 10 hours the first week, 3 hours and 20 minutes the second week, and 3 hours and 40 minutes the third week.

· Jillian averaged an hour more each week than Conor.

· During the first week, Marie used as much as Anthony used the last two weeks combined. During Marie’s last two weeks, she averaged 40 minutes less per week than Conor.

If each person were to have an equal amount of time for the month, how much time does each person have left without extra charges?

Olympic Victor

In AD 67 Nero won the chariot race in the Olympic Games.  What was unusual about his victory?

This week (to give more people a chance) the prize will go to the person with the first correct answer who has not yet won.  If the only correct answers are from previous winners then the first of those will win.

Odd one out

Alexander, Augustus, Bacchus, Caligula, Dionysus, Dis, Gaius, Hector, Octavian, Paris, Pluto, Quirinus, Romulus

Every name has an alias in the list (Alexander is another name for Paris, Dis for Pluto, Bacchus for Dionysus, Caligula is Gaius, Octavian is Augustus, Quirinus a divine name of Romulus) ... except Hector.

Nat (Year 6) got exactly the right answer; Jeremy (Year 6) had the right name with not exactly the full reason.
