WEEKLY CALENDAR OF EVENTS NO. 358
Monday 25 February – Sunday 2 March 2008
ISSUED Friday 22 February
ALL
Congratulations to Old Delphinian Claire Taylor whose second innings 64 not out secured England's Ashes Win over Australia. She hit the winning runs as the shadows closed in on the final day. She was also the lynch pin of the first innings (79) and with the captain, Charlotte Edwards, gave England a 90 run first innings lead. England only needed a draw to retain the Ashes from 2003 but achieved the incredible feat of defeating Australia on their home ground.
A questionnaire will be sent out to all parents next week to help us understand the views and perceptions of the current parents. We hope you are able to find the time to complete and return this questionnaire as your feedback is very important to us.
Please note that a yellow striped area has been marked out in the school car park, close to the school entrance. This is reserved for disabled parking. Please leave it free.
May we please remind all drivers entering the school car park that their speed should be limited to walking pace. All drivers should be aware that children from a very young age (albeit the responsibility of their parents) may be in the car park area.
PCV drivers. There are copies of the tachograph rules and instructions at Meadow Reception. The master files in the buses also hold copies in the “rules on driver’s hours and tachograph” section.
