Congratulations to our Year 8 children who have been offered places at some of the top senior schools in this area, including all five girls who applied to the Abbey School and were all given places. Others are still awaiting results, some are dependant on Common Entrance, and a few have scholarship exams still to come. We are very proud of the hard work that all our students put into their studies and a full list of places offered will be published later.

Thank for sending in Box Tops for Books, we have nearly 100 so far. The closing date is 31^st March, so please keep those tokens coming! You will find them on nestlé cereals and cereal bars. Thank you also for bringing in your Tescos Sports Vouchers, we’re just about to send them off now.

To all bus drivers, please note it is now mandatory to use the bus tachograph when driving in the UK. Boxes of sheets are in the bus glove compartment and there is an envelope in the driver’s window pocket for completed sheets.

An emergency call for a driver and an adult to go in the school car to the British Museum with Year Three on Tuesday.

The school chess tournament is on Thursday 7 February, NOT Saturday 2 February as written in the calendar. 1.15pm to 5.15pm please note later finish. Light refreshments available. This will be the first round of the British Land, there will be prizes at each round (7 rounds) and trophies for each overall age group winner. There are a few places left, contact Mrs Lawson if you want to join in.

A family update form has been posted to all parents. Please check the contents and return the form to the school office by 22 February.

Skipping workshop for Year 2 upwards on Monday 4^th February. The children will need indoor PE kit in school.

Reminder that the school is closed 11-15 February for half term
