REMINDER: The school will be closed on 28^th November, except for the Year 5 play practice which will take place from 09.00 – 15.00.

A pupil data check sheet has been posted to all parents. Please check the contents and return the form to the school office by 30th November.

May we remind everyone that electrical appliances should not be brought into school. All electrical appliances used on the premises must have passed a Portable Appliance Test.

We are once again collecting the Box Top Tokens for Books from packets of Nestle cereals. If you have any we would be very grateful for them. The collection box is in the school Reception.

Will all parents please note that if for any reason you cannot collect your children on time, they must go to After School Care (Reception to Year 5) or Homework Club (Years 6-8).

WALKING TRIPS ELIGIBILITY LIST

The list of pupils who are eligible for the walking trips (Junior Lakes, Brecon Beacons and Senior Lakes) are now on the notice board by the daily timetable. Pupils wishing to go on these trips now have to write a letter to Adam Warner explaining why they would like to go. This letter must be signed by a parent or guardian and handed to Adam by 1^st December 2008. There will be a meeting for parents of Year Four children in the Summer term to access information regarding the walking trip programme. Year Four children are not required to write a letter. If you have any queries regarding any aspect of the walking trips please see Adam.

YEAR 2

Year 2 Parents’ Evening is on Thursday 27^th November in Mrs. Thomas’ room.

Trip to Milestones Museum on 25^th November. Please would the children come dressed in Victorian costume. The museum has cobbled streets, so comfortable shoes are important. Please would the children bring a disposable lunch in a rucksack or carrier bag. ‘Victorian style’ food is not necessary on this trip.

Stitchcraft Club will finish earlier, at 16.00, this week due to Parents’ Evening appointments.

YEAR 3

The trip to the Natural History Museum will now take place on 4^th December. We need one parent helper to accompany this trip. If you can help, please contact Greg Andrews.

YEAR 5

For the trip to Bristol (Science Museum) on Thursday 27^th please make sure that the children have plenty to drink with their disposable lunches. If it is not raining we may eat outside, so the children must have an extra warm layer that day. Please note the late return time of 17.00.

Drama Club will not be running on this day due to the late return of the trip.

Play practice on 28^th November from 09.00 – 15.00. The children will need to bring their lunch and a snack as usual. A book to read when not rehearsing may be useful.

YEAR 6

Parents’ Evening on Wednesday 26^th November. Please arrive at the time you indicated on your reply slip.

YEAR 7

Judy would like to confirm that the Globe Theatre trip will take place on Tuesday 2^nd December. We will leave at 07.45 and be back at 15.30. The children will need a packed lunch, a warm coat and no more than £10 to spend on Shakespearean artefacts.

We would like to remind parents that the Year 7 Parents’ Evening is on 1^st December. More information will be sent home shortly.
