We would like to welcome you all back, especially all new children, parents and staff to Dolphin.

Term starts on Wednesday 10 September. Please would established pupils (Years 3-8) go to the hall, where their form teachers will collect them. Established pupils Nursery, Rec, 1 & 2 please go straight to your form rooms. New children please come into the school reception.

Club lists for the Autumn term are on the board. If you wish to make changes or have any problems with the booking please see Vivien in the office, rather than the teacher who is running the club.

Judo will recommence on Tuesday 16 September.

As the weather gets colder all children should have a warm and waterproof coat in school.

A second hand PE kit sale will be held on Tuesday 16 September after school..

If your child needs to take medicine during the school day please bring it to the school reception with your written permission and the dates and times it should be given.

Lost Property:- Lost property will be gathered regularly and placed in bins at the end of the school hall. Named items will be returned on a regular basis and it would help us if you could ensure your child’s belongings, particularly their Dolphin PE kit and outdoor coat are clearly named. May we also request that you refrain from looking through the lost property during lesson times as it can be disruptive for classes.

May we remind everyone bringing children to school in the morning that they cannot be dropped off until 7.45am. Before that time there are no staff available to be responsible for the children (unless part of a trip arrangement).

Would parents please note that fees for the Autumn term 2008 were due on 1 September 2008.

Black Mountains day walk Saturday 13 September. Depart 6.50am return 8.30pm. Please bring money for a motorway tea on the way home.

CONGRATULATIONS:

To Last Years Reception class who, under the direction of Sue and Paul Martin, won the Heaviest Potato award at the Hurst Horticultural and Cottage Garden Show, with a potatoes weighing in at 1lb 10oz. Also winning first prize for novice onions and second prize for novice collection of vegetables.

To Mr de Frettes who has passed his PCV driving test.
