A very big thank you to parents for all your help and co-operation during the recent spell of very bad weather.

A pupil data check sheet has been posted to all parents this week. Please check the contents and return the form to the school office by 26 February.

IAPS Girls Judo Congress will be held on Saturday 23 January, 08.00 – 13.00 at High Wycombe Judo Centre.   A letter giving further details will be sent home with the participating children next week.

Photographs from the Year 5 play are on view in Reception with an order form.   These and many more are also available to view in the Image Gallery of the School Website.   £2 for a 4x6 and £3 for a 4x7

If anyone would like printed up photographs from the Foundation or Year 1/2 Plays from the Image Gallery of the School Website please drop a request into the school office with a note of the serial number of the photographs from the website.   £2 for a 4x6 and £3 for a 4x7.  

There will be no singing lessons the week of January 18 as Mrs. Maltese is unavoidably absent.   These lessons will be made up later in the term.

Please remember that your child will need a warm coat for outside play.   Hats and gloves are important when the weather is especially cold.

RECEPTION

Trip to Waitrose Twyford on Wednesday 20 January, 09.00 – 11.30.   Children will need a warm coat and sensible footwear.

YEAR 4

Many thanks to parents for understanding about the postponement of the Ashmolean visit.   I am pleased to be able to say that we have arranged to go NEXT THURSDAY, 21 January (amazing luck!).   All arrangements as before – depart at 09.00, return by 15.15.   Children will need a disposable packed lunch and a snack.   It will be very helpful to have as many parents as helpers as is possible, to met us at the museum at 10.00.   Penny P

A letter has been sent home to year 4 parents inviting them to the children’s drama lessons next week on either Tuesday 19 or Friday 22 January.

YEAR 5

Trip to Tate Modern on Tuesday 19 January, 08.00 – 16.00.   The children will need a disposable packed lunch, morning and afternoon snacks (not sweets or nuts) and an electronic game for the journey.   They may also bring a camera and £5 maximum for postcards.   We will leave after registration and return by 16.00 at the latest.   Your children will be responsible for looking after their electronic games.

Parents Evening on Thursday 21 January, 18.00 – 20.30 in the Hall.   Please arrive at the time indicated on your reply slip.

YEARS 5-8

Date for your diary

16 March Ironbridge Trip meeting . It is essential that at least one parent attends this meeting to ensure informed consent

If there are any more pupils wishing to go on a walking trip in the summer, I need a short letter from you as soon as possible explaining why you would like to go.   This letter also needs to be counter-signed by a parent/guardian.   Adam Warner

YEAR 6

Trip to Natural History Museum on Monday 18 January, 08.00 – 15.30.   The children will need a disposable packed lunch and a coat.

YEAR 7

Theatre trip on Thursday 28 January.   We will be leaving at 08.00 promptly and should be back by 18.30.   We will attend a workshop based on the RSC’s production of Arabian Nights and watching the show after lunch.   The children will need to bring with them a snack and no more than £15 to buy lunch, a theatre programme and an ice cream during the interval.
