WEEKLY CALENDAR OF EVENTS NO. 436

Monday 5 April – Sunday 25 April 2010

ISSUED Thursday 1 April 2010

ALL

We look forward to welcoming you back to Dolphin on Monday 26 April and wish you all a happy holiday.   Our thoughts are especially with Year 3 as they embark on their first residential trip to East Sussex.   We also send Cameron, who has worked with us as a Teaching Assistant since September, our very best wishes and many thanks as he leaves us to travel and attend university.

For parents who do not have access to e-mail, please note that the school’s inspection report is available in hard copy from the Meadow Building Reception.

Congratulations to COLONEL DOUGLAS CHALMERS (Class of 1981) who has last week received an OBE for his services in Afghanistan.  In 2003 he was awarded an MBE for Iraq.   He joins Old D CLAIRE TAYLOR (1986) who was awarded an MBE for her services to cricket in January this year.

Reports for Years 1, 2, 3, 7 and 8, and Grade Cards for Year 6 have been posted out to parents this week.   We apologise for the incorrect absence count.   We are in communication with our management information system provider and will correct the problem as soon as possible.   Please let the office know if you would like a reprint of your front sheet.

We would like to remind parents that fees for the summer term are due on 15 April 2010 or before.

Judo for the summer term starts on Tuesday 4 May.

FunRaisers are arranging another BIG Sleepover on Friday 7th May for Yrs 5-8. The last sleepover was a huge success, with games, films and snacks on offer and breakfast the next day. Please do keep the date free! Tickets and further details will be available at the beginning of next term. If anyone can volunteer their time to help out with this event then please let your Yr Clipper or FunRaisers know.

Do take a look at our bird box which is now inhabited!    You can access the link through the Dolphin school website under Dolphin Community – eco-warriors-birdcam.

The Club Lists for the Summer Term will are now on display in the Meadow Building Reception.   Please see Vivien in the office, rather than the member of staff running the club, if you have any queries or alterations.

Would any parent like to volunteer to help with occasional car driving for the summer term Triathlon club on Fridays?   It would not be every week.
