WEEKLY CALENDAR OF EVENTS NO. 374

Monday 7 July – Sunday 13 July 2008

ISSUED Friday 4 July

ALL

Your are cordially invited to this year’s summer production ‘Nicholas Nickleby Part 1’ on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 July at 7.30pm. We would like to encourage you to come dressed as a Victorian for the evening and be ready to cheer, boo, hiss and cry! You are welcome to bring small children but the show might be very long and rather overwhelming for them.

FUNRAISERS HOT LUNCH NEXT FRIDAY JULY 11TH

The usual line up of hot goodies and home made cakes, plus a new taster table with delicious foods to taste for free.

Fresh fruit is provided FREE by FunRaisers.

Please send your child with a named purse containing £3-£5 in coins.

As usual we are very appreciative of all cake donations in the hall on the day.

Activity Week – one space left!

All parents who have booked on Activity Week should have had a letter from Adam. Please ask the office for a copy if you have not. If you have not yet replied Adam has assumed you would require ski lessons and has estimated your child’s T-shirt size. A programme of the activities is in Reception if you would like a copy.

Orders for the team and form photographs have been sent off and the photographs are due back the week commencing 14 July.

Thank you to all those parents and children who have supported the Puffin Book Club. Over £600 worth of new books for the library have been purchased. The club will be extended to Years 4 and 5 in September.

Please would everyone return their books to the library by Tuesday 15 July.

The 2008/09 Extended Synopses will be published on the website within the Dolphin Community Section under Teaching and Learning. You will need to be logged on to access this information, log on details will remain unchanged.

Club Lists for the Autumn term went home today, extra copies available in the office. Please return to the school office by Thursday 10 July. The lists of children attending each club will be on the board before the end of term. Please see Vivien with any queries or problems rather than the teacher running the club.

Please can you remind your child to take part in the ‘Get Caught Reading’ scheme. The English department would love to receive any photos that children have taken of their parents reading.

We are collecting Nestle Box Tops For Books again. Please save your ‘Box Tops’ tokens over the summer and bring them to school in September.
