Would all parents please note that they must sign in the children who arrive at school late and have not been signed in.

May we remind everyone bringing children to school in the morning that they cannot be dropped off until 07.45 .    Before that time there are no staff available to be responsible for the children (unless part of a trip arrangement).

If your child no longer wishes to do a club, please do not forget to inform the office and ask to have him/her removed from the club list.

May we remind parents that half a term’s notice is required for Judo and Music should your child wish to stop their tuition.

A pupil data check sheet has been posted to all parents this week. Please check the contents and return the form to the school office by 30th November.

Please note that due to the frequency of school trips (and the need to use the toilets beforehand) the Cloisters toilets will be left unlocked for a trial period.   Should vandalism occur we will revert to locking them.   Please do not leave valuables in these areas.

We wish to start this half term ensuring that all our children are comfortable using the school toilets.   The school will be emphasising in PSHE or via the form teachers the importance of leaving toilets in a state in which everyone would want to use them.   We would be grateful if parents would also ensure the message is passed on at home.   The school will ensure that the toilets are clean each morning for the start of school.

The photographer will be in school to take individual photographs of the children on Tuesday 18^th November.

WALKING TRIPS ELIGIBILITY LIST

The list of pupils who are eligible for the walking trips (South Downs, Junior Lakes, Brecon Beacons and Senior Lakes) are now on the notice board by the daily timetable.   Pupils wishing to go on these trips now have to write a letter to Adam Warner explaining why they would like to go.   This letter must be signed by a parent or guardian and handed to Adam by 1^st December 2008.   If you have any queries regarding any aspect of the walking trips please see Adam.

FUNRAISERS

INDULGENCE EVENING - WEDNESDAY 19TH NOVEMBER AT 7.30PM

Tickets are now on sale for what promises to be the most relaxing and indulgent FunRaisers event for parents so far. Free hair styling and beauty demonstrations plus colour consultant top tips. Stalls with hair and beauty products, beautiful greetings cards, clothes, jewellery, photography and more. Mini fashion show featuring Dolphin children. Also Champagne & Wine Bar, plus delicious Indian nibbles and a Chocolate Fountain.

TICKETS ONLY £5, includes a glass of bubbly & nibbles.

Sam (Huxley’s Mum) is making an art installation with a school in Wandsworth.   She desperately needs donations of children’s shoes before 5^th December.   Not trainers, boots or sandals please, but any worn pairs of children’s shoes – she needs hundreds!   Can you help?   (Sam will be in the playground most mornings/afternoons).

YEAR 2

Year 2 children need to have their own recorder.   The school is able to purchase in bulk at a cheaper price, so if you would like to buy one, please see Mrs Thomas as soon as possible.

There will be a Parents’ Evening signing-up list available in the Year 2 classroom from Monday 10^th November.   The choice of Parents’ Evenings this term is either Monday 17^th November or Monday 24^th November.

YEAR 3

The trip to the Natural History Museum will now take place on 4^th December.

YEAR 5

The trip to Bristol will now take place on 27^th November rather than 4^th December.  

Mrs. Lawson will require three further parents to accompany the trip.   At least one parent may be asked to drive the Peugeot.   Please contact her as soon as possible if you are able to help.   Note the later return time of 16.30-17.00.

YEAR 6

The children may bring some money to buy an art postcard at Tate Britain (Thursday 13^th), maximum £3 please.   Please supply the children with plenty to drink and eat in their disposable packed lunches for the day.   A coat is essential.   Return time 15.30 approximately

YEAR 7

Judy would like to confirm that the Globe Theatre trip will take place on Tuesday 2^nd December.   We will leave at 07.45 and be back at 15.30.   The children will need a packed lunch, a warm coat and no more than £10 to spend on Shakespearean artefacts.
