Early Birds

An Early Birds session of pre-school care runs from 7.45am onwards for those children whose lessons begin later than 8.00am. The sessions for Early Years children take place in Nursery and cost £4.50 with breakfast. For Year 1 & 2 sessions are held in the Meadow Building and cost £3 (breakfast is not included). 

After School Care

After School Care is also available and runs for any period between 3.00pm and 5.45pm from Monday to Friday, either on a regular or ad-hoc basis. After School Care is FREE for all children from 3.00pm until 4.30pm. After 4.30pm a charge of £2.50 is made per half hour or part thereof and billed termly.

Children who remain in After School Care after 5.45pm will of course continue to be cared for, however the charge will rise to £15 per quarter of an hour or part thereof. All children, who are not in another supervised activity, are looked after in After School Care until collected by a parent or appointed guardian. All children must be off the premises by 6pm. 


Clubs take place at lunchtime and after school and are included in the fees. However, there is an extra charge of £87 per term for Judo for years Reception to 8, and includes hire of kit. Timings of clubs can vary slightly according to the activity and season, but generally:

After School Junior Clubs (for Reception, Years 1 and 2):

3.15pm – 4.15pm

After School Senior Clubs (for Years 3 to 8):

3.15-4.15pm Wednesdays;

3.35pm – 4.35pm, or 4.45pm for some outdoor clubs, all other days.

The clubs on offer change termly. In the course of a year they typically include: art, athletics, bridge, chess, choir, cookery, craft, cricket, cross country, dance, embroidery, football, French for beginners, gymnastics, hockey, judo, classics, Mandarin, netball, rounders, rugby, science, Spanish, tennis, string group, swimming and wind band.

Different clubs are available to different year groups.

Homework club is available every night of the week for all children in Years Six, Seven and Eight who wish to do homework in school. This takes place at the same time.
