For more than thirty years Dolphin School has seen its trip programme as central to the philosophy and educational objectives of the school. The children share in an annual experience of about 120 days out of the classroom.

The responsibility is great and the staff very dedicated to make it happen, but the cross-curricular, hands on education is unbelievably beneficial to the children as are the life and social skills children develop with their peer group away from home.

As a Dolphin parent it is very important to access the Weekly Update every Friday for the most up to date information on trips and meetings the following week. Trip dates are occassionally subject to change and precise departure and return times are not always known well in advance.

Attendance by one or both parents at the evening Trip Meeting held some weeks before a residential trip is essential for a child to participate in that trip.

On Saturday September 15^th Year Five went to Wales for a walking trip. (Gerry was our leader and gave us each a map.) He showed us the route we were taking on the map and then we started to walk .....
