Drama Blog - Not of an age but for all time - October 2020

Back

Welcome you merry wanderers of the web!  Being rather fond of William Shakespeare, the department decided to pose a question for the Dolphin learning community and this was it…

If Shakespeare suddenly turned up in his time machine at Dolphin School, what burning questions would you ask?

We know so little about Shakespeare’s personal life - he left no letters, no diaries, no  scribbled notes, only his plays. We could learn so much about him.

Below are a selection of the questions:

What do you want for your birthday?

How long did it take for you to write ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’?

If you could write a sequel/prequel of any of your plays, which one would it be?

What is your favourite snack?

What, where or who inspired you?

What was it really like 500 years ago?

Did they have ice cream in the 1590’s?

Which play are you most proud of?

What would you write here?

How much money do you have?

Why did ‘Romeo and Juliet’ end with nearly everyone dying?

What was the theatre like?

Do you have a pet?

What is your favourite colour?

And the Drama department’s personal favourite…

Who built your time machine?

If Shakespeare popped round to your house for a cup of tea, what would you ask him?
