World Book Day

This year, we postponed World Book Day for two weeks so that we could all be together to mark the day. And what a celebration it was! The day started early, with a 7.30 'News Briefing' breakfast for Year 6, who spent the day off-timetable as young reporters: working in teams to explore the day's news, research in more detail, conduct interviews, and write up stories for their own front pages. Following a morning assembly on the theme of 'Fictional Worlds', the highlight of the day had to be our breaktime catwalk, with contributions from all over the school ranging from a wobbly Don Quixote to a regal Queen of Hearts!
