Y3 Materials Science Trip 2021

Y3 planned how to build a den that would keep a toy dry using a range of natural and manmade materials. They worked together in groups checking that their den followed their plan.  After testing with 250ml water we found that nearly all the toys were dry - a very successful outcome.  We had a quick tree hunt to establish the biodiversity of the forest at Highwood Nature Reserve in Woodley.  Great exploration into the properties of materials!
