Lorna, the beekeeper, guest stars at our Lunch ’N Learn

Today Lorna made a return visit to tell us about her life as a beekeeper, when she’s not flying planes!  Several of us in the audience were quite knowledgeable about bees already and quite relish the idea of keeping bees, but there was so much more to learn.  Did you know that bees pollinate 90% of the world’s nutrition supply so according to Einstein if all the bees died humans would only survive for 4 years!  If you see an exhausted bee this summer, it is definitely worth rescuing it with a tiny drop of sugar water - bee rescue kits/keyrings are available to buy online.  Thank you, Lorna, for a fascinating talk.
