Y5 Boulogne Trip

Back

Boulogne, c’est super! Year 5 spent a glorious three days in Boulogne where they visited a World War II museum, saw how biscuits are made, made their own lolly at an artisanal sweetshop and tried snails.  Their curriculum for this term was based around buying their picnic in the market and they rose to the challenge magnificently on Saturday morning, receiving lots of positive comments and praise from stall holders and teachers.  The trip ended with a visit to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery in preparation for their assembly the following week.  Having discovered that Eurotunnel was celebrating its 25th birthday the children also delivered birthday cards in French and English to Shuttle staff.
