Y5 - Whipsnade Zoo

Y5 children headed out to Whipsnade Zoo, the children were thrilled to encounter brown bears, giraffes, chimpanzees and an eight day old baby rhino!

Led by the Zoological Society of London, their workshop focused on plastic pollution in our oceans and the impact on animals and wildlife.

‘Our changing world’ is our Y5 Geography topic this term and there were some hard-hitting facts: did you know one million plastic bottles are bought across the world every minute? We felt inspired by the beauty of the animal world and resolved to make a difference where we can.
