Nursery Autumn Walk Visit

Back

The trip began in 'the secret garden', where we looked at some of the beautiful coloured flowers and discovered, then dispersed some seeds into the ground. Niki told us a wonderful story about a cheeky raven that initially stole an egg from another bird but eventually nested on the grounds and laid eggs, then had young of their own. We continued our walk around the grounds of Waltham Place, observing the beautiful colours of the leaves and the various types of trees.Niki discussed the many ways that nature produces and naturally disperses the seeds when items drop to the ground. Along the walk the children collected nature treasure, such as leaves, pinecones and acorns, then together with Niki, created the most beautiful mandala on the ground. It was then time to thank Niki, board the bus and return to Nursery for lunch!
