Library Blog - ‘Book Buzz’ new books/ ‘Story-Telling Week’

MORE NEW BOOKS FOR THE LIBRARY.   This week we unpacked our ‘Book Buzz’ collection from ‘The Book Trust'. This gives us a great selection of books for Book Club and group reading, including some non-fiction and dyslexia-friendly titles too.   Also included, is the Graphic Novel by Svetlana Chmakova with simple, clear illustrations and relationship ‘highs and lows’ that most teenagers will experience. This thoughtful and sensitively presented story will be a sought after read by all our Year 7 & 8s. 

Dolphin School is celebrating NATIONAL STORY TELLING WEEK from 1st-8^th FEBRUARY 2020 where emphasis will be put on the ‘spoken word’.      Members of staff will be weaving tales of magic throughout the week – why not include some of your own during your children’s bedtime!   

A reminder that the BBC2 ‘500 WORD COMPETITON’ is now underway – closing date for this is 27^th February 2020.
