We’re into the second half of the Autumn Term and are happily discovering how exciting Non-Fiction books can be.  In support of The Federation of Children’s Book Groups ‘National Non-Fiction November’, we were presented with a wonderful selection of new information books selected, and some donated, by our ever-inspiring Drama teacher, Judy.   To further encourage ‘fun fact reading’, we were visited by Chris Routh, a qualified, very experienced Librarian who came to discuss Non-Fiction books with our Year 3s.   Chris brought not only her expansive and extensive knowledge, but also a large and very heavy bag of eye-catching, fact-absorbing books for the children to peruse and comment on.   Of course, our ever increasing Library Wish List has been added to with titles such as : Building a Home, What do Scientists Do All Day, Why Things Die?, How to Build an Orchestra, Fox, Curious Creatures Glowing in Dark and many more!

A conversation overheard – young Charlie said that factual books ‘blow up your mind with information’!
