Reception Storytelling Trip at Windsor Castle

Reception had a wonderful time at Windsor Castle. We invited Reception to come dressed as a king, queen, prince or princess; and they all decorated a crown in the lead up. The excitement on the morning was palpable - from all involved: parents, teachers and of course the children! As we walked round the castle, the wardens were brilliant and greeted the children with curtsies, bows and royal waves! The children absolutely loved it and did the same back.

Thank you to the Learning Centre team who ran a brilliant interactive story telling session in the morning. The children loved running through the castle hunting for dragons to help out the King. The afternoon was spent admiring the state apartments.  Two particular highlights: the dolls house (we were lucky enough to have a private viewing!), and lying on the floor of the state apartments and gazing up at the magnificent ceilings - the children responded with such delight! Windsor Castle was a great day out; one that the children will remember for a long time!
