On Tuesday, Year 1 visited the Oxford Natural History Museum. We were inspired by dinosaur expert, Chris, who brought them back to life for us! We learnt that most dinosaurs actually had feathers and dinosaurs didn't have to brush their teeth because more teeth just kept growing! For our topic 'Under the Ground' we were also fascinated by the fossils and how they are formed. We held the bone of an iguanadon from 145 million years ago, and did some 'dinosaur maths' to work out how big dinosaurs must have been if we had discovered their footprints. The children were most excited when they got to hold fossilised dinosaur poo!
