Curriculum
At Dolphin, we are guided by a fundamental belief in Freedom to Learn. This principle underpins everything we do, and is realised through our Learner-Centred Education framework, which places children at the heart of their learning, giving them ownership, voice, and the opportunity to shape their educational journey.
Our curriculum is broad, challenging, and innovative, designed to nurture lifelong learners who think creatively, reflect critically, and make meaningful connections across subjects. Learning is experiential, collaborative, and dialogic: questions are encouraged, ideas can be challenged, and knowledge is actively constructed together. Within this environment, pupils develop confidence, resilience, curiosity, and integrity, embodying our core values of Kindness, Confidence, Challenge, Discovery, and Freedom.
The Dolphin Habits provide a compass for personal growth, guiding children to reflect on their learning, persevere with challenge, work well with others, and approach problems thoughtfully and creatively. Over time, these dispositions become habitual ways of learning and engaging with the world, naturally aligning with many elements of the IB Learner Profile, including being caring, reflective, open-minded, and principled.
Through small classes, subject-specialist teaching, and rich co-curricular opportunities, children of all abilities are supported and stretched. By the time they leave Dolphin, each pupil has undertaken an individual journey, confident, curious, and ready to contribute positively to their communities and beyond.
