Adventure Trips
The Mountain Adventure Programme at Dolphin is one of the things that truly sets Dolphin apart. Pupils begin with walks on the South Downs in Year 4 and steadily build their skills and confidence, culminating in an eight‑day expedition in the French Alps in Year 8.
Along the way, they take on iconic routes in the Lake District and Snowdonia, while also experiencing an exciting range of increasingly adventurous activities. Coasteering, Via Ferrata's, white‑water rafting, and single‑pitch climbing are just some of the challenges pupils tackle as they progress through the programme.
Beyond exploring beautiful mountain landscapes, children develop essential skills in navigation, camp‑craft, scrambling, and working effectively as part of an expedition team. They return home tired, proud, and with a powerful sense of achievement, often discovering new strengths and capabilities within themselves.
Looking ahead, the programme is set to expand even further, with planned expeditions to the Scottish Highlands, the Dolomites, and Morocco.
